So, that one poly_crack meme got me all interested, and then I looked at Poly and saw Campbell's post, and I felt a great and urgent need to reply to it.

Ergo, I pretty much re-wrote an app in less than an hour, because I realized, hey, I could. All these other people are re-joining for the last month of Poly's existence. Honestly, I'm almost crying over the 'one last reunion' thing we have going moreso than the final month of Poly itself.

Hello my fellow polychromatians!! We had a lovely affair over many years, and five years passed in which I had to leave you all. However, this final wind has returned me to your arms once more!

... bad dialogue aside, HELLO everyone! Shahni here, bringing back a very revamped and 100% rewritten Megumi into Poly for endgame shenanigans. She had formerly been in Poly for a good four year run, and made many friends and was an established healer at the hospital. And NOW, she is returning as a medical student hopeful with a family to hunt for and memories to recover, and lots of madness to spare.

Megumi is ALSO returning with her poly memories (to easily recall friends) though she will only vaguely recall her original backstory that she was being played with before (I know I'm confused too)- a lot has been changed for her, but aside from becoming a little more tsundere, a little more animu and very, very much a boys-love fangirl, she's still more or less the same person. More or less. Her backstory and world history are on her journal, should anyone want to dare trek through it all. :'D

Ellie here (usually with your resident ginger witch Miss Weasley) with, SHOCK AND AMAZE, a brand new character! It's only been, oh, five years since. This is Kivrin Engle from a little tome called The Doomsday Book by Connie Willis.

Long story short, she is a time-traveling Oxford history student from the year 2054. She specialises in the Middle Ages and was on her way to the early 1300s for her first assignment and ended up in the City instead! Her application may be found here for any curious minds.

She'll be arriving within the next week or so, depending on my schedule and how plans go. I'm excited to throw her into this crazy mix!

It's good to be here. My name is August and this will be my first time rp-ing on the digital frontier. I'm big into roleplaying events such as Dagorhir or big reenactment-style airsoft events and so I'm really excited to be able to enjoy in-character adventures via the internet.

I will be bringing in Commissar Ciaphas Cain of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The good Commissar is a celebrated figure and war-hero of many theaters of battle but, despite the reputation he's manage to earn, he's a coward of epic proportions on the inside! Cain is used to putting on an act throughout every facet of his life and working very hard to be the "Hero of the Imperium" that people expect him to be. Being whisked away to a strange city with people from every corner of existence is going to be a major culture shock to Cain, who comes from a world where evil gods threaten mankind at every turn. As a resident of a deeply religious universe Cain is going to have his work cut out for him when it comes to settling in and not seeing alien spies in every shadow. Once he comes to terms with his predicament though people will get to know him a suave silver-tongued Lando Calrissian-alike.

While other characters won't know this Cain is a VERY complex character. Cain thinks of himself deep-down as a fraud and a coward. His guilty conscience constantly blinds him to his own heroic nature and stops him from recognizing the many valiant feats he's performed. Cain's imposter syndrome has led to him developing a mask of "the humble soldier" that he keeps on at all times. Only a couple people have ever seen through Cain's mask to glimpse the reluctant hero he could be.

Better make your peace with the God-Emperor because the best/worst Commissar in the universe has arrived. 8-)

Guess who's back?

Because I can't quit you, Poly. Especially when I started pimping this place out to my husband. 8D But I digress.

For those of you who don't know me, I'm Mallory! I've been playing off and on in Poly for years now. And with me, I bring back everyone's favorite fabulous gay Major, Ivan Raidenovitch Raikov from Metal Gear Solid 3. He's still pre-MGS3 so only a few months have gone by for him since he was last here.

It's Puppy, again! Because apparently my solution for being drowned in finals is apparently to app more muses for me to role around in once I have a life again, I'm bringing in this stoner right here.

His name is Cas, formerly Castiel. He used to be an angel, but more recently before being dropped into Poly he's been fighting zombies created by a demon-curse and nominally trying to prevent Lucifer from actually destroying the world. But he's pretty much given it up for a lost cause and prefers drugs, sex and yoga.

The Dean he knows is, well, kind of a jerk.

'Allo Poly-folks! Amy, aka Ren-mun here. I figured y'all didn't have enough characters from the obscure-yet-awesome Lucifer's Tears, so I figured I'd round out the cast by bringing Lucifer himself. Granted, he'll be passing himself off as a Russian ballet dancer, at least unless/until someone publicly spills the beans.

So, yea. One bitter fallen angel here, ready to bemoan the stupidity and unworthiness of humanity.

Hi, Poly! I'm Lins. You may remember me from such characters as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow. I've returned to Poly with a character that I love just about as much as Natasha, and has the added bonus of being a character I think I can make fit in better here. This is Allison Argent from a show that no one's ever heard of on some cable station called Teen Wolf. It's a totally obscure canon and I am sorry.

She's seventeen years old, and in the last year has gone from just being that girl that moved around a lot to learning that werewolves exist (her boyfriend at the time being one of them), her family hunts and kills them (both for sport and for the protection of humans), losing her mother due to werewolf related trauma, nearly going grimdark as a result of said matricide, coming back from being grimdark to break up with her boyfriend, retiring from the hunter life and then diving right back in when shit hits the fans. Yes, literally in the span of six months, she may not be okay. Her canon point is currently after the third season episode 'The Overlooked', meaning the last thing she'll remember is shooting flashbangs at rabid Alphas outside of a hospital in the middle of what should probably be considered tornado level winds. Yes, she is a total bad ass. Her best friend is Lydia, and she's kind of close but not really to Stiles, kind of wishes Derek would not so much drop dead as accidentally walk off a cliff, and her status with Scott McCall is Awkwaaaaaaaard(tm).

She'll be coming in from the end of the movie, which ought to mean higher spirits, but in the event of being plucked out of her world and brought here? Expect her to be very wary to start...and very curious, too. Ah...that may result in run-on sentences and a lot of speed talking on her part, just for the record!

I'm Amy, and while I played here for a while back in 08-09-ish it's been ages! But I'm coming back now! Very excited.

I'm bringing Ren Miyaki, an OC of mine. She's a former Takarazuka actress who was kidnapped by the fae and served in the Summerlands as a dancer for many years before finally escaping, only to discover someone else had been living her life for her in the mean time. She's had a lot of what she wanted in life stripped away from her, and she was *just* starting to put some sort of life back together for herself when she arrived in the City. She's... not going to be happy.

Due to her time in the Summerlands, she no longer naturally looks human - instead, she's dependent on a glamour to pass as human. She uses it pretty much all the time, but characters who can see through illusions will see her 'true' form - I'ma get that description up on her profile in a moment for those interested. Otherwise she's look perfectly human.

Bonjour, Poly! I'm Reg, and I'm bringing you the magnificent, handsome, all powerful Q, from all the Star Treks. For anyone who doesn't know, Q is a mischievous trickster, one of a member of a race of incredibly advanced beings called the Q, because that's not confusing. In his own reality he's timeless, immortal, and can bend the laws of physics literally with a click of his fingers, among other things. He's also somewhat unpredictable, as despite being somewhat of a student of humanity, he's detached from really ever understanding it out of superiority.

Obviously, since unlimited power would cause no end of trouble in a jamjar setting, Q's abilities have been a bit nuked in order to help him settle in. He's now human, with some residual powers, which have both time limit and consequence. His omniscience is also limited to just the Star Trek universe. That said, if anyone would like to opt out of his using his powers on them, throw a quick comment to me here.

I'm S. and this certainly feels like coming home. Poly was my first LJ game experience back in the day (2008-2009-ish) when I played mainly Himeko from Kannazuki no Miko, Seiya from Sailor Moon and Der Tod from Elisabeth das Musical, if anyone should be around from that period and still remember...

Today, however, I bring you Marguerite Gautier from John Neumeier's ballet Lady of the Camellias. She's a Parisian courtesan, slowly dying from tuberculosis and as a consequence, she is highly focused on the happier aspects of her life (like jewellery and parties and her beloved Armand). You can read her history up until she arrives in the City here and her personality section is up here, if anyone should take an interest.

hello poly, my name is Valya and I am return


IT'S BEEN A WHILE since I was last here so for those who have forgotten or never knew who I was in the first place--- I used to play here a while ago, with such characters as that guy from that movie with the arm clocks and that guy from the video game with the big daddies, but had to drop earlier this year due to RL obligations and mounting activity in other games. But now that life has eased off in both arenas, I'm back! with an original character this time, mister Cyrus Montague, who is a classy southern gentleman and also secretly a giant dragon. A very old, powerful, vain, lazy, and gluttonous dragon. He's fun at parties! (Not really.)

His Poly app with further information regarding his background and everything else can be found over here if anyone's interested, but it's pretty tl;dr so I have the important stuff in bulleted form right here. Also, among his powers is the ability to glamour people into doing his bidding, but this ability does have limitations and it won't always work! I will always ask for your permission if he should have cause to try it on your character, and if you're not down with it then I won't have him do it. The last thing I want to do is step on any toes or accidentally godmode someone!

Now I am bringing you a little boy full of tears named Tallendia Morrison. He is sixteen years old and was kidnapped by a witch who tortured him into agreeing to marry her. Now his fiancee has a curse on him and it makes his life hard. 99 problems and the bitch is all of them.

He's a very lonely little boy, be his friend.

I will intro him soonish because Bethle will be pissed off that he isn't where he's supposed to be.

So, I know he's been here before, but I'm really looking forward to playing him on POLY!

Enter Dean Winchester, from the end of Season 8, so to say he's ticked about being dragged away from the approaching chaos and his injured brother, Sammy, would be a massive understatement of the highest order.

This time I'm back with an alien teenager from an obscure 90s sci-fi show called Space Cases. (Which if you want to learn the basic premise of just watch the opening theme song, it explains everything.)

This is Radu! He's a slightly bumbling kid with a heart of gold, ridiculous super-strength, weird super-sonic ears, and hair to make any 80s metal band jealous. Him and his classmates have been lost in space for over a year now, so it's gonna feel good to be back on solid land for him.
