So, that one poly_crack meme got me all interested, and then I looked at Poly and saw Campbell's post, and I felt a great and urgent need to reply to it.

Ergo, I pretty much re-wrote an app in less than an hour, because I realized, hey, I could. All these other people are re-joining for the last month of Poly's existence. Honestly, I'm almost crying over the 'one last reunion' thing we have going moreso than the final month of Poly itself.

I'm trying to figure out what Cain can do for a "living" and I was thinking about what his talents are versus what's in the town. Cain has lived a life filled to the brim with combat and, while he's an above average shot, it's swordsmanship that is his defining talent. I was wondering if there's anything that really happens at the dojo and, whether there is or isn't, how viable a possibility it would be for Cain to get himself a position as a swordsmanship instructor.

Hello my fellow polychromatians!! We had a lovely affair over many years, and five years passed in which I had to leave you all. However, this final wind has returned me to your arms once more!

... bad dialogue aside, HELLO everyone! Shahni here, bringing back a very revamped and 100% rewritten Megumi into Poly for endgame shenanigans. She had formerly been in Poly for a good four year run, and made many friends and was an established healer at the hospital. And NOW, she is returning as a medical student hopeful with a family to hunt for and memories to recover, and lots of madness to spare.

Megumi is ALSO returning with her poly memories (to easily recall friends) though she will only vaguely recall her original backstory that she was being played with before (I know I'm confused too)- a lot has been changed for her, but aside from becoming a little more tsundere, a little more animu and very, very much a boys-love fangirl, she's still more or less the same person. More or less. Her backstory and world history are on her journal, should anyone want to dare trek through it all. :'D

Hello Poly!

With Cella's help, I've had some ideas about what I would like to do for the Dollhouse curse and I am looking for volunteers for it. The more the merrier.

Having lived a life as someone's doll for many years, Carla's going to be getting a role reversal for this curse: She's going to be the doll master this time.

And I would love to have as many dolls as possible with roles available in every avenue from housekeepers, caretakers for her dogs, cooks, furniture, 'playmates', and whatever else you can imagine. She's not the most stable woman in the world, and suddenly having all these obedient and 'loving' toys to play with is going to be a real enjoyment for her. The setting will be in her large home out in the woods.

Here are things I'm looking for:

DOLLS. Like I said, I am open to any variety of roles, relationships, escapes, rescues, whatever. For dolls, I have a really simple form:
<b>Doll Name:</b> <b>Doll Role:</b> <b>Do Not Wants:</b> Any content you'd be uncomfortable with. <b>Do Wants:</b> What you absolutely do want to do with the plot.

RESCUERS. I am completely open to having any of the dolls rescued by cursed or uncursed friends. I am open to it being stealthy, or directly confronting Carla. I am open to her being beaten up for being a crazy too. I'd prefer she not die, but if editorially justified, I could go that route too.

HOUSE GUESTS. These do not have to be already established CR, I am totally willing to use the curse to gloss up a temporary relationship if there are morally gray individuals who'd want to spend some time with the doll master.

ANYTHING ELSE. I am completely open to plotting with anyone for any other ideas they have.

I am completely fine with her actions being remembered after the curse ends, I am perfectly fine with negative ramifications of her behavior.

So please comment here if you want to be in on it! It really just wouldn't be as fun to have to populate the house with NPCs, but I will if I get not volunteers, so rescuers and house guests, etc could still sign up if interested.

So, I think it's time I just bowed out entirely. I've done everything I can with Julie and it's time for her to go home. Sorry, guys. If you feel the need to remove me, my plurk is jellybabyoftheneutronflow.

Hellllooo again and for the last time, Poly! I am evy, and I am bringing Lucina from the canon about making everyone bone and some RPG stuff, known as Fire Emblem: Awakening. She was here earlier in 2013 and will be returning with her memories. She has terrible taste in fashion, has a bitching sword, and takes after her good ol' Pa, Chrom.

That being said, I've been in and out of poly more times than I can remember but wanted one last awesome time here before it closes down.

So I joined Poly only very recently and I'm already having a great time, but, there's one thing I'm not really clear on how people make happen. I was hoping you guys could point me in the right direction on how to do/get this going too.

So people make there journal entries, and you make your journal entries, and you comment on their journals, and they comment on yours, and all that. I get that part. How do you make things happen with other characters though? Say someone wanted their character to come over to my place? How would that kind of thing happen?

I ask this because Ciaphas Cain is a character that, really, only fans of the Warhammer 40,000 series will know. People are hesitant to interact with characters that nobody knows so Cain is having a really really tough time meeting people.

A Grab Bag Weekend, oh my friends! A Grab Bag Weekend like a favorite dance.  Saturday  January 18th through Sunday January 19th is time~. All those ideas you sort of wanted to undertake? Now is the time! Take your pick of any of these fine curses to inflict upon your lovely fellows.

Let's not forget characters can be cursed once a day with two different curses or one curse over the course of two days. It's a great opportunity to maximize the zany moments. Just not  two curses at the same time! Grab Bag curse weekends are optional in case you want to give your characters a rest or give them the joy of watching. Hello, Poly! I didn't think I'd be back here, but this was my home game for a very long time so I couldn't resist coming back to see it through to the end.

My name's Liam, and this here is me introducing Nathan Young to Poly for the third and last time. He was my longest running character here, and I thiiiiiink he was around for about a year and a half. I can't remember if that includes his second stint here or not. ANYWAY. This time he's coming from the end of his last appearance in Misfits, the end of the Vegas Baby! short. This means his current power is reality warping and he's coming in fresh from being dragged off to a cell in a Vegas prison, so the City will probably be an improvement. Maybe.

I'm going to follow the examples of Sheena and Leah and try and remember everyone I've played here just in case someone remembers me from someone other than Nathan. Try being the key word. I don't think I've missed off anyone I had here for that long though, and some of these were here hardly any time at all.

Hi, Poly! My name is Leah, and back on October 19th, 2009, I joined Polychromatic for the first time, for my first game with the Master from modern Doctor Who (neverendingbeat on LJ). I couldn't let the end of this game, which is so important to me, go by without being a part of this, so this is Campbell Bain. He was here a while ago and he's a 19 year old bipolar Glaswegian DJ. He's talkative and excitable and he'll do very well with endgame.

Hi guys!

I'm done with teaching (a.k.a. grading a million lab reports) and I also wouldn't feel right if I didn't see this thing through to the end. And who better to see things through than the City's resident rock star?

For those who are unfamiliar, this is Curt Wild and he's from a totally weird movie about glam rock called Velvet Goldmine, which features Ewan McGregor, completely naked, covered in glitter. There's sort of a plot as well.

Anyway, Curt looks like Kurt Cobain, acts like Iggy Pop, and has a bit of Lou Reed and Mick Ronson thrown in for good measure. When he was in the City before he had a band called Time Bomb, which actually put out an album, so character who were around for that are welcome to remember him even if they never had much interaction. He'll recover his memories of his previous visits to the City eventually, but of course not at first.

As far as I go, I was previously known as Tam but now I'm using Sheena since that's an actual nickname of mine. I'm a grad student so I either have lots of time to be online or none depending on if I'm procrastinating or actually getting stuff done. I've played...uh...Dexter, Dr. Horrible, Blue Beetle III, Temeraire, Hulkling, Alester, Sparrow, and April Ludgate here before. I'm on plurk a lot squeakygeeky

Hello, lovely people! I'm brand new to your game, though far from new to RP or DW.

A tiny bit about me: My name is Sara, and I've been rolling around various RP type places for far too long. I strayed far for a while into terrifying places, but Poly is my return to DW after almost two years away! ...just in time for the game to close. But that's okay! Other than RP, I'm a professional freelance artist, so my hours are strange and I'm pretty much always online.

As for Jackson, for those who don't know Teen Wolf, he's an egotistical jackass with severely deep-seeded psychological issues. I apologize in advance for his actions. He doesn't know how to not be rude. I'm playing him post-season 2 (he dropped in here instead London), so on top of his bad attitude, he's got claws. Yup, this asshole's a werewolf.

Good evening, dear polylites.

Ellie here (usually with your resident ginger witch Miss Weasley) with, SHOCK AND AMAZE, a brand new character! It's only been, oh, five years since. This is Kivrin Engle from a little tome called The Doomsday Book by Connie Willis.

Long story short, she is a time-traveling Oxford history student from the year 2054. She specialises in the Middle Ages and was on her way to the early 1300s for her first assignment and ended up in the City instead! Her application may be found here for any curious minds.

She'll be arriving within the next week or so, depending on my schedule and how plans go. I'm excited to throw her into this crazy mix!

It's good to be here. My name is August and this will be my first time rp-ing on the digital frontier. I'm big into roleplaying events such as Dagorhir or big reenactment-style airsoft events and so I'm really excited to be able to enjoy in-character adventures via the internet.

I will be bringing in Commissar Ciaphas Cain of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The good Commissar is a celebrated figure and war-hero of many theaters of battle but, despite the reputation he's manage to earn, he's a coward of epic proportions on the inside! Cain is used to putting on an act throughout every facet of his life and working very hard to be the "Hero of the Imperium" that people expect him to be. Being whisked away to a strange city with people from every corner of existence is going to be a major culture shock to Cain, who comes from a world where evil gods threaten mankind at every turn. As a resident of a deeply religious universe Cain is going to have his work cut out for him when it comes to settling in and not seeing alien spies in every shadow. Once he comes to terms with his predicament though people will get to know him a suave silver-tongued Lando Calrissian-alike.

While other characters won't know this Cain is a VERY complex character. Cain thinks of himself deep-down as a fraud and a coward. His guilty conscience constantly blinds him to his own heroic nature and stops him from recognizing the many valiant feats he's performed. Cain's imposter syndrome has led to him developing a mask of "the humble soldier" that he keeps on at all times. Only a couple people have ever seen through Cain's mask to glimpse the reluctant hero he could be.

Better make your peace with the God-Emperor because the best/worst Commissar in the universe has arrived. 8-)

I'm Chrissy, a return player from aboooout 2-3 years ago so I'm just going to say new player, bringing in Raven Darkholme from X-Men: First Class. so Mystique, but before she's really figured out who Mystique actually is. she's from right after her spat with Hank, then kissing Erik, then her spat with Charles in the kitchen, so she's full of Feelings about being blue and whatnot. just a lot of feelings there. But once she calms down, she'll be running around wanting to befriend just about everyone, especially people with abilities because hi let her compliment you and tell you how special you are, so I'm really excited for all of thhhhhat. c:
